Their first release ‘Money/Kill Me’ launched the band within the United Kingdom, which led to their debut album titled ‘Spiders’, featuring songs such as ‘Neighbourhood’, ‘Female of the Species’ and ‘Me and You vs the World’. The album achieved double platinum status in the United Kingdom alone.

The band signed various record deals globally, with USA supremo Doug Morris signing the band to its biggest record deal to date with Universal Records in North America.

The band’s second album ‘Tin Planet’ was released in 1998 including hit singles ‘Avenging Angels’, ‘The Ballad of Tom Jones’ and ‘Begin’. The album went straight to no.6 in the charts and attained double platinum status again in the United Kingdom.

The bands third album ‘Love You More Than Football’ was shelved by Gut Records shortly before the label closed down, the album would finally be released as part of the anthology album boxset, released by Phoenix Music in 2019.

Demon Records/BBC Music released both Spiders and Tin Planet on limited edition coloured vinyl to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the record’s original UK release.

The band have also released albums ‘Attack of the Mutant 50ft Kebab’, ‘Give Me Your Future’ and ‘Music For Pleasure Music For Pain’ which is set to be released in December 2022, marking the bands 7th studio album.

The band are thrilled with the new album which has been recorded in their Liverpool based studio and mastered at Abbey Road Studios. The record was engineered and produced by Phil Hartley and co-produced by the rest of the band. The record marks a true return to their earlier song writing of the bands early works on ‘Spiders’ and ‘Tin Planet’.

The band have sold over 5 million records worldwide to date and continue to tour within the UK and globally in 2023.

The bands 1990’s hit ‘Female of the Species’ making the to of the album charts with the ‘TFI Album’ – (Number 1 in June 2015) and the 2009 rerelease of the single achieved a silver award with BPI.
