Christine & Dave recorded a session for The Paul Jones Radio Two show in 1994. A fan gave Dave a copy of that recording. Dave thought it sounded great and forwarded a copy to Christine. This resulted in a decision to get together again and do some more shows.
Their material is drawn from their musical backgrounds, but mainly covering songs which they both love but have not previously had an opportunity to perform within their usual formats.
Expect some soul standards, country songs, rock, folk & blues, covers of music from some great contemporary writers, as well as Stax, Tamla, The Band, Emmylou Harris, The Everly Brothers, Elvis (to name but a few). Also listen out for Dave and Christine’s own songs too.
DAVE KELLY
Dave Kelly is a founder member of The Blues Band. The band retired in 2023… after completing their 42nd Anniversary Tour a little late – do to Covid restrictions. The Blues Band have released about 20 albums, and Dave has 18 either solo or with his own Dave Kelly Band.
