In a “psychological thriller” the action is driven by the psychology of its characters, their mental state and therefore their behaviour. Julia, a graphic artist, was badly injured in a car crash that killed her boss, who was driving. Still trying to recover from her accident and wanting to be alone, she has to deal with a counsellor who keeps asking difficult questions and a besotted handyman who won’t take no for an answer. Then the wife of her late employer turns up, wanting to meet the person who last saw her husband.

As well as her injuries, Julia has suicidal thoughts, and now strange things are happening in her house – some things disappear, and others just turn up out of the blue. She trusts very few people and now she’s not even sure she can trust them – who is doing these things, and what lengths will they go to? Her doubts and fears multiply – is she safe in her own home?

Richard Harris has written several plays, including the comedies Stepping Out and Outside Edge, and has also written extensively for television including The Avengers, The Sweeney, Darling Buds of May, and A Touch of Frost.
