Our Resident Company for Spring 2017: The Outbound Project
This year the Marine Theatre will be co-producing 12 Million Volts a fascinating new play by emerging theatre company Outbound Project.
The company will be in residency for two weeks this Spring, offering two free public sharings of the work in progress, as well as an exciting programme of professional skills workshops.
FREE Work-in-progress sharings: 7th April at 6pm and 28th April at 5pm
We’ll be offering the company free space by the beautiful and inspiring Jurassic Coast to develop their new show, as well as support with grants, fundraising, marketing, producing and dramaturgy.
The finished show will premiere at the Marine in June before transferring to London’s New Diorama and beyond..
12 Million Volts tells the story of one of the world’s greatest inventors, Nikola Tesla, a man who wanted to help the world. From Thomas Edison to the Tesla coil The Outbound Project invite you into the mind of a genius.

Applying to be part of R&D By The Sea..
We love hearing from companies who would like to make new work with us.
In 2016-17 we will offer one residency per season to a South West-based company to spend time here at the Marine developing new work, and sharing current work with our audiences.
