Enjoy some ragtime and raucous rockabilly on handcrafted instruments. Due to popular demand this event has moved from the Marine Bar into the auditorium
Multi-instrumentalists Marshall Stapleton and Glenn Ford say “ We hail from the further reaches of the Lym Delta, last survivors of the musical traditions once prevalent in these environs.”
Expect to hear toe-tapping train songs, ragtime and jazz-time instrumentals, raucous rockabilly and lots more, played on the latest acoustic instruments, guitars, mandolins and ukes, all hand-crafted by Marshall. Hear the story behind each instrument as Marshall gives entertaining insights into his inspirations and the materials and techniques used. Since last playing the theatre bar Marshall has appeared at London’s Barbican Hall with his former group, The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain.
