In 1989 Bernard Butler formed Suede releasing the Mercury winning No.1 debut “Suede” and the era-defining “Dog Man Star”.  His collaboration with David McAlmont on the anthemic ”Yes" provided an intriguing footprint across Britpop’s otherwise jingoist landscape culminating in 2 albums and a sell out at London's Roundhouse in 2015.

Style it up with your 1920s frocks and waistcoats and join us to celebrate this historically significant anniversary. Proceeds go to the PTFA which mobilises the energy and commitment of local parents, teachers and the wider community in Lyme Regis, to support the school through fundraising activities, networking events and other related projects.

Jazz by the Sea – Celebrating Miles Davis

American jazz trumpeter Miles Davis became one of the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz. Pioneering the bebop style alongside Charlie Parker, Davis went on to record the most popular jazz record of all time, Kind of Blue, and continued being an artistic innovator throughout his life. Sam Massey will be performing some pieces composed by Miles Davis like All Blues, and many associated with Davis over his career, such as Stella by Starlight. Described by The Guardian as a “fine trumpet player” Massey will be accompanied by Philip Clouts at the piano and John Donnelly on double bass.

Experience the atmosphere of his early Newport performances with Joan Baez, alongside folk-rock, pop and American songbook style songs from across his 60 year career. You'll hear all of Dylan's biggest hits plus the best of his bootlegs and rarities. Isabel Inkcap is a young songwriter and folk artist who is ‘quickly cementing her presence as one of the more emotive and heartfelt names emerging this year’ (Luna Collective), Tobias ben Jacob is a compelling singer-songwriter.
