£7.50 adults (£4.50 U16)

While the sun is still on the sand the mermaids of Lyme Regis will be entranced by the music that floats from the open windows of the Marine Theatre when the magical Summer Evenings of Music take place.  Musicman Nick Lawrence and songbird Kelly Street join forces with the cream of Lyme's local talent to sing their hearts out and fill the Marine Theatre’s coffers. Tuesday 17 June is the first of the series of "Summer Evenings of Music" at the Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis.

Tracey Dare will be offering some wonderful numbers, a successful actress and cabaret singer with groups in the Axminster area, she recently won rounds of applause for her memorable part as Aunt Eller in “Oklahoma,” played the lead in the award winning production of "Anything Goes" with Lyme Regis Operatic Society and was a show stopping Katisha in The Mikado.   Another of the stars of local productions, Kelly Street, who recently showed her versatility as Laurey in Oklahoma, and Yum Yum in the Mikado, will thrill the audience with her beautiful voice, its clarity and sweetness always draw comments from the audience.  Local music lovers will be delighted to hear that Nick Lawrence is not only producing this starry night but also performing, with John Challis whose Curly in the Operatic Society's production of “Oklahoma” was a tour de force and was  Professor Higgins in the Operatic Society's production of My Fair Lady in 2006. The theatre is delighted to welcome beautiful tender tones of the lovely Natalie Spiller, who dances as beautifully as she sings and whose solo in the recent Oklahoma was such a memorable contribution. The evening will be accompanied by sympathetic and brilliant Stephanie Dommett at the piano.

The "Summer Evenings of Music" will be on Tuesdays throughout the summer, starting at 8.00pm, featuring a very wide range of popular songs from different eras and styles.
