Sunday 20 April

£7.50 (£6.50 conc)

‘AN AFTERNOON TO REMEMBER’

The Memory Lane Swing Band will be making their first appearance at the Marine Theatre, when they perform here on Sunday afternoon, 20th April at 3.00 pm, tickets £7.50 with concessions at £6.50 from Lyme TIC 01297 442138.  Lovers of the Big band sound will be delighted to hear that the band will include among their number many favourites.  “Fly me To The Moon”, “Do Nothing Till You Hear From Me” and “Look of Love” among the most popular, performed by Lyme Regis resident, Tony Langford, who has an excellent local reputation as a vocalist, will be the featured soloist with the band.  His beautiful voice compliments the band’s sweet sound, which changes to the driving rhythms of “Brazil” when Dougie Cooper gets going!

This matinee will give Lyme’s music lovers a perfect opportunity to hear this Dorset based community big band with highly acclaimed performance of nostalgia music played in an easy listening style.  Programmes include modern versions of well-loved tunes, as well as some big band standards.  A variety of styles are featured, including swing, latin and romantic ballads.

Tea will be served in the interval from the popular corner coffee bar, with other light refreshments available.  This nostalgic trip down ‘Memory Lane’ should certainly not be missed!
