Persuasion was Jane Austen's last completed novel before her death in July 1817.  She lodged in Lyme Regis from 1803 to 1804 and used the Cobb and the surrounding countryside for part of the setting for the novel.  The drama follows a poignant tale of lost love and second chances of happiness.

The film will be shown in our historic cinema The Regent (where you can sit in an enormously comfortable seat, with a table beside you for your morning coffee).
